Matthew Wood
Project Manager
Matthew Wood is the Project Manager at Southern Research and has been with the company since 2009. He is responsible for estimating costs and bids, tracking projects, and maintaining communication with clients. He attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where he majored in Industrial Design. Rather than pursue a career in design, he opted to pick up jobs across the southeastern U.S. as an archaeological technician gaining valuable experience on all phases of investigation and excavation. He is an expert heavy equipment operator and canoe paddler for conducting shore line surveys. When he is not working, he puts his SCAD training to use as an accomplished woodworker and fabricator. He and his wife Gretchen are owned by five cats.
