Lauren Scott
Staff Archaeologist
Lauren has been with the company since 2024. Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Mississippi State University in 2019 and her Master of Arts degree in anthropology and public history from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2022. With a special interest in bioarchaeology and cemeteries, she has conducted and led fieldwork throughout the southeast, including in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South and North Carolina, and Virginia. As a Staff Archaeologist for Southern Research, her responsibilities include conducting and overseeing all phases of archaeology, writing technical reports, and evaluating resources for their eligibility for the NRHP. When not in the field, Lauren enjoys crocheting, hiking, and reading, as well as spending time with her five cats and two dogs.
