Examples recovered during the 2002 field season include this handpainted Chinese porcelain (a), handpainted pearlware lid (b, probably from a teapot), and a variety of edgeware dating to the early to mid-nineteenth century such as the blue shell edgeware (c & d), and the beaded rim blue edgeware (e) shown beside them.

Transfer printing was a method of decorating ceramics rapidly and reliably and was the key to the mass production of decorated wares during the nineteenth century. Examples of transfer printed dishes found at the Old Governor's Mansion include light blue whiteware (f), dark blue pearlware (g), brown whiteware (h), and black whiteware (i).
